What are Omega 3&6 + what does it do?
Omega 3 and 6 are fatty acids that play a vital role in reducing the risk of inflammation and, in turn, protecting your body against heart disease.
Unfortunately, far too many of us have diets that contain too much Omega 6 fatty acid, thus increasing our risk of inflammatory diseases. Indeed it is estimated that the modern day diet of many of us contains around ten times more omega 6 than omega 3. This puts us at risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes.
What will an Omega 3 Index test tell me?

Too too much omega 6 can increase your risk of heart disease, whilst omega 3 which is predominately found in oily fish is known to reduce heart disease.

Each kit includes a 'Lab Request Form' with an activation link and unique code. Log on to the website to activate your account, where you can provide relevant information about your health.
Providing as much detail as you feel comfortable is highly recommended, as it enables specialist doctors to deliver personalised and comprehensive analysis. For example, sharing whether you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or managing specific health conditions allows the doctors to tailor their insights to your circumstances.
Once you collect your sample, we strongly encourage you to activate your account before sending your blood samples and ensure they are sent back to the lab as soon as possible and within 24 hours, especially for the Menopause Blood Test.
